Looking for a PhD? You're not alone. We get a very large number of emails from people looking to do Ph.D. research in the group. If you are serious about doing a PhD you should (a) provide some ideas of what you want to do a PhD project on and (b) provide a list of potential funders you could apply to. When you describe the ideas, keep the suggestions relatively brief: just a few sentences. Please also be specific. Statements like 'I want to a Ph.D. studying conservation, ecotourism, something furry, something cute, something that can eat me' are not specific.

When we have funded Ph.D. positions available, we advertise them on this site, on FindAPhD.com and in the popular science literature.  If there is nothing listed here it means we do not currently have funds to support any new Ph.D. students. We are delighted to hear from people who are serious about doing a Ph.D., have some well thought out ideas that they have been able to briefly summarize, and have identified funding bodies that can approached.
